Ultra Air Celebrates 25 Years

At just 22 years old, Tony Licastro and his wife embarked on a bold journey to start their own business, Ultra Air. With high hopes but low expectations, they launched the company in November 1999, working out of their family garage in Western Sydney.

Not long after starting, Tony approached Barney Allam with a proposition: could Ultra Air do some work on Allam Homes? Tony recalls that meeting.

"Barney looked at me and said, 'You look a bit young, mate. How old are you?' I told him I was 22," Tony shares. "Barney then said, 'That doesn’t concern me, but do you realise how important it is to meet deadlines?'"

That moment marked the beginning of a remarkable partnership. Allam Homes became one of Ultra Air’s first customers, and the collaboration helped the fledgling business gain traction in the competitive project builder market.

Reflecting on the journey, Tony says, "I am forever indebted to Barney and Allam Homes for putting their faith in me and giving me the chance to show what I could achieve. Their support allowed us to springboard into opportunities we only dreamed of back then."

Now, 25 years later, Ultra Air celebrates not only its longevity but also the enduring relationships that helped shape its success.
